Not sure what context you mean... That we are too cheap or that we dont have the money...
Forbs had LSU football as the 10th highest grossing football program in the country. Bama wasnt much higher and LSU was higher than Arkansas.

What about Petrino, its gonna take 3 years to turn ATL around?

$20M is a shite-ton, and that's a low estimate
$6M buyout and $3M/year would be only a 5 year deal or so

Petrino God Damnit, here is some info.
His contract in Atlanta will pay him $24 million over five years.
In November 2007, The Sporting News reported that Petrino “basically can walk out of his deal to coach a college team.” He is already rumored to be a candidate for Auburn and LSU if those jobs open.

Bud Foster has done very well with much less talent than LSU but will probably replace Beamer when he steps down.

We'd have to wait until the end of the NFL season for Petrino. I don't know if the powers that be would do that.

eh, Miles stays. Mich will hire Ferentz. He already has big 10 experience and a relationship to the president of UM or something like that.

Del Rio:
An NFL coach with an 8-3 record this year is NOT going to be the coach at LSU.
