Right, because Meyer going to OSU and Kiffen to USC really hurt LSU or the SEC for that matter

So a guy with $200M in bankruptcy comes up with $14M the week Mack Brown steps down, says no comment on where the money came from. The guy who he paid the $14M to, also says no comment on how the financing got done

I mean, how hard would it be to say, "We are grateful that Cap1 bank has so much faith in our project". I mean (insert bank here) would want the world to know that they are investing in BR

This deal is secret for a reason

Texas is next door while the other Ohio and California are far away. I'm sure you already knew that.

Certainly explains why news crews are camped outside Sabans residence.

How many Texas recruits are we getting this year?

How many Louisiana recruits is Bama getting this year?

How many times will a loss to Saban @Texas keep us from the BCS in the future?

How many losses to Saban @Bama have kept us from winning the BCS?

Very weird that we didn't hear a peep about this potential bankruptcy 12 months ago when Cleveland was offering him $10mm/yr and part ownership of teh Browns franchise.

Well, considering the Houston complex didnt go under until 2/12 & Perkins Rowe wasnt sold at auction until 4/13, and The Pointe at Lake Burton wasnt sold at auction until 6/13, Sabans partners probably told him theres nothing to worry about. So he passed on the Browns offer.

But since the Browns offer, hes had a lot to worry about

I don't have the emotional energy to read this entire crappy thread. Is there real reason to think Saban lost enough money to be bothered by it?

is the rumor mill alleging that Texas boosters are going to cover his losses in that area as well as see that he receives a salary of 8-10 million per year?

The total compensation received in that case would be astronomical.

Saban was sole owner of the land around Perkins Rowe & The Pointe at Lake Burton

Saban was half owner in the Houston complex

His liability in Perkins Rowe is unknown

texas wants to win. You think a guy like Red McCombs gives a shite about reaching into his BILLIONS to give nick 3-4 million to make UT a winner?

Get 4 or 5 other big time UT alums like that and you got your money.

You provide little proof to your claims. I like it.
