The more I thought about it, the less I think it was Herman's agent. What could he possibly gain out of doing this? If Herman truly wants to go to Texas it'll happen eventually. Either way Herman is getting paid by UT or LSU. No reason to start a "bidding war" as neither LSU or UT would cooperate with that bullshite.

It was most likely a Texas booster who wanted UT to jump on it and be decisive about Charlie Strong. It's in very bad taste and will likely turn Herman away from Texas.

Leak had to come from Hermans agent, Herman, or LSU. For a Texas official to know, one of those three would have had to leak it to them.

Considering Chip Brown was the first to report this, it is definitely coming from the Texas side. Probably Herman's agent telling Texas people in order to push them.

Herman's agent being the leak makes zero sense. Why put all of that heat on yourself when all you have to do is pick up the phone and call UT?

And if it's UT, why put your chosen coach on blast? If I'm Herman, I'd be pissed at UT for that move.
