I see nothing but 10-2/9-3 seasons with him.

He's an awesome QB developer and recruiter with a recent undefeated NC.

LSU just fired one of the best recruiters in the country who won a national championship with 2 losses.

Jimbo won it solely on the shoulders of a QB he didn't develop whatsoever.

I think Jimbo is the safe hire, but Herman has a higher ceiling.

We're trying to make comparisons between a proven HC at a perennial powerhouse with a young rising star who just got his first HC gig 2 years ago at an AAC school. It's very tough to compare. Herman is an offensive genius, but we don't yet really know if he has what it takes to consistently RUN a football powerhouse program for years to come.

Hire Jimbo and I think 10+ wins become the norm again, hire Herman and it could be 12+ wins or it could fall apart.

What? Jimbo didn't recruit, tutor, and develop Winston? This conversation is over, moron.

That's odd, because all 22 starters plus their kicker from that year got drafted by the NFL.

If you don't realize he's in the top 2-3 realistic coaches we actually have a chance to get then you are a idiot.

The way I look at it, Jimbo is the best safe home run hire we can get.

Herman is the best chance of being a grand slam hire, but also has a chance of busting.

I personally want Jimbo because he is more likely to retire here. Herman will be a crapshoot every year with the NFL and Texas and USC always on his mind.

I'd gladly take either though.

Hire Jimbo and the shitty LSU fan base rips him apart in 5 years and you're looking for another replacement. Sorry, but I just don't get the excitement.

It's more likely he gets us to the playoffs 2 of those 5 years than him being fired within 5 years.

And who do you want, if not Jimbo? Should we have kept Miles? Should we keep O?

Safe hire? I'll give you that.

Home run? GTFO. Enjoy being Nebraska 2000-2007.
