like they did with Saban when he left?

I have been reading a lot of "I am happy for Les, and I won't be mad at him" type posts on here.

Gotta love the hypocrisy.

people really weren't that upset when Saban went to Miami, it was more the coming back to Bama that started the uproar

You are one of the biggest pussies on this site. Always bitching and whining about anything dealing Miles.

This is true to an extent. But I do recall the "He ruined Christmas day" comments all over the place.

For the record, I won't hold it against Les in any way if he leaves. A man's gotta do what's best for him and his kin.

No. He can't help that they are just calling right now. It's not like he's going to Alabama or something.

Or, that he's been flirting with the NFL every year.

If he gets to go home, I'm happy for him.

I think that Les will end up being greatly loved by LSU fans in hindsight. Especially if we find a good replacement - or a bad one for that matter.

I won't.

Les has never hid his love for Meeechigan. If he's offered I expect him to accept. And after the RichRod debacle, if there was ever a time a school like UM needed a coach like Les it's now.

It's a business and Les has to do what is best for Les. That said if he lied to his players then I lost some respect for him as the saint everybody has made him out to be. I do think he will stay. Michigan ain't what it used to be.

I would be pissed quite honestly.Wouldn't crucify him publicly but would be convinced that he has mental issues.A sane person does not leave LSU when it's stacked with talent and in a hotbed for recruiting to go to a depleted and very much less talented team Michigan team even with the ties.It makes no career sense to me.He is too old to get another major job when the UM faithful turn on him if he takes too long rebuilding them.It will take at least 3 recruiting classes just to get enough talented bodies there to make them competitive with OSU.That is who they are looking at competing with and no one else. They could care less about the other teams.Just OSU.They are years from being in that class again.

This x 1,000. 90% of the people on here were rooting for him and was happy for him when he went 9-7 his first year. Given the way he came back to the college game and WHO he went to can you blame any LSU fan for having hard feelings about it?

How can Les win with RichRod's recruits?
It's not like he'd be inheriting a National Championship team from Saban.

How many years would it take for him to win 10 games there? Oh yeah, he would be playing against the Big 10.

I like some of the people in this thread being butthurt by this question.

Again, many (not all) LSU fans crucified Nick for going after his dream because it put LSU in the bind and it happened on Christmas.

I just think it's hilarious the double standard by many on here.

Wolf, I agree. I was fine with Nick leaving and semi pulled for the Dolphins while he was there. I do remember a lot of people on here really mad at him when it happened though.

I don't buy the 90% being okay with it initially.
