I'd rather eat crow than eat shite. I'll be very happy if O turns out to succeed in a big way.

Agreed.

I actually think O will have probably have success, but I still believe he did not deserved this job and Alleva's process was ridiculous and embarrassing

I fear there won't be enough crow to go around if O does well at LSU.

I won't eat any crow. I will be happy for O, and that the very slim chances this move had of succeeding actually panned out. But I would still want Alleva gone. Gone for damaging the brand with poor hires, flip flopping, uncontrolled leaks, and being a poster boy for why a good PR team is necessary these days.

The way things have been going, I am pretty sure Kiffin is not coming here, and I fear Aranda will bolt to Texas. I hope his binder took that into account.

In the same way it took 3 years to determine how he would do at Ole Miss? You do realize the the 3 previous years recruiting was garbage...I think the highest ranked recruiting class in those 3 years was 39th. They wanted him to polish turds! Give the guy a chance!

Define successful

We fired Les because 3-5 loss seasons became the norm. You honestly think Coach O will do better?

This is a Les Miles situation all over again. There are people who hope Coach O fails just to be "right."

Coach O is still a stop gap until he proves himself. LSu isn't in big money if he needs to be dismissed.

We just had that and fired the coach for it.

I'll eat all the crow O is willing to serve up. If he's successful I'll be as happy as anyone. That still doesn't take away from the fact that his hire is based on the hope that he's become a great coach, instead of a terrible one.

I'll admit I was wrong.

Listen...as someone that has defended Les Miles since 2005 from frick heads that were up his arse from game 1, I've said almost exactly what you just said to them. that many of them, so hellbent on being right about him, missed a glorious run in LSU football.

So, I take your point seriously.

All I can tell you is that I'm man enough to admit I was wrong if I turn out to be. But there's nothing about this that even remotely feels like a good idea. This feels like our AD had blinders on, then got worked, then settled on O. It's a rare thing that things turn out great when you settle.

I'm pulling for LSU as always, so I hope it works out. I have no confidence that it will.
