I wouldn't be surprised if Tenuta was the DC at ND soon. Weis is gonna make some changes. Mike Haywood may be out of a job up there too.

Um, weren't we in the market for a DC last year? Wasn't Tenuta reputed to be the best available dc in the country last year? Wasn't he the leading candidate to become LSU's DC last year?
Why would LEs hire him this year when he wouldn't/couldn't last year?

VK- DC and DB Coach (replacing Mallory)

Don't know about the DB part, but there are rumors VK is a done deal.

That doesn't sound like a guy Miles would hire.

I know this, Slo, you know this and others know this ... but just because some fans perceive him as "fiery" and "aggressive", come on down seems to be the prevailing, albeit inexplicable 'tude here.

Point being: there is a damn good reason why no other school[s] in need of a DC picked up Tenuta. That doesn't seem to sink in here much, tho'.

Ah well...

Aye, it's a guy no one else was inclined to take on as DC anywhere else at season's end last year either.

VK- DC and DB Coach (replacing Mallory)
Coach O- D line (replacing Lane)
Tenuta- Linebackers (replacing paveto)

My guess:

Saban- DC and DB Coach (replacing Mallory)
Bill Belichick- D Line (replacing Lane)
Pete Carrol- Linebackers (replacing peveto)

And I hear Sean Payton might be coming into to coach special teams

Absolutely nothing, until problem #1 kicks in and causes mega-dissension in the locker room and on your staff, Oh, say, somewhere along about mid-season in the midst of a run towards a spot in the SECCG.

That's kinda sorta what it has to do with it and it's also why as good as Tenuta can be at DC, he was left out in the cold at season's end last year. Now, he's an assistant to Weis and a position coach coaching a position that isn't where his greatest coaching strength lies.
