BTW: Tenuta doesn't like to recruit..at least that was the rap sheet on him while he was at UNC. FWIW

Does any DC like to recruit?

Chavis- doesn't recruit
Pelini- doesn't recruit
Tenuta- doesn't recruit

Give me a DC that doesn't recruit b/c they seem to be the best ones. My question is how does Pelini get a HC gig but not recruit?

It is kind of suspicious, though, that despite his reputation he did not get picked up by anyone, other than as a position coach at ND. Still, I'd gladly take him at this point.

No, it isn't. no one has any info that he wasn't offered by other schools, my guess is he would rather take a year to see if a more prestigious DC job opened up, as opposed to making a lateral move.

I guess he is not. Has no say so on the Defense.

Jon Tenuta:

quote:

From 2004-07, the Yellow Jackets ranked in the top 30 nationally in total defense, scoring defense and rushing defense, including 20th or higher against the run all four years.

Vic Koenning:

quote:

In just three short years, Vic Koenning has accomplished something no other Clemson defensive coordinator has accomplished in Tiger football history. Each of his first three defenses has finished in the top 25 in scoring, rushing, total, and pass efficiency defense each season. A top-25 final ranking in all four categories in the same year had been accomplished just twice prior to his arrival.

Fool? Ok....I'm not the one lusting for ND's linebackers coach.

With Koenning's connections to this staff, it's going to be him.

K St, koenning's alma matter who apparently wanted him, hired Maryland's DC

all signs point to Koenning but we'll see

I'll take either one.

But Les has to nail down O as the recruiting coordinator/d-Line coach
