71-40 is the expectation at LSU? If that’s the case then we should have just kept Orgeron

Not sure why this is hard to understand, as it applies to all coaches and not just Kiffin: Most coaches work their way up to an elite program, like LSU. That usually entails taking jobs at lower level programs that don't have the resources or reputation to win immediately. This results in a poor record early on. It happens to everyone.

Kiffin, Spurrier and Saban all had similar winning percentages at this stage of their careers.

He produced at Alabama. He's doing it again at Ole Miss. That's noteworthy. He's not a fluke.

Longevity. You don't have to worry about him jumping ship to the NFL or another program because he's done that already and failed

I don't agree. In fact I think you give evidence that he has a history of doing exactly that.

At best I think his approach would be a Houston Nutt with Jimmy Sexton. He would constantly be renegotiating for more money without significant accomplishment. That's fine if you're NS but there's only been one NS in the last 14 years of college football.

I can see the case for Kiffin but I would rather one of the other young up and comers who isn't more concerned about getting his dick wet than winning national championships.
