Pipe dream IMO, he has a graduate degree from Texas, his recruiting ties are in Texas, and he already has a relationship with the (most likely) next AD of Texas - Oliver Luck.
We are going 100% after Jimbo. If we fail we will end up with Fedora. I don't think there are any other serious candidates at this point.

tom herman has made no public statements about the LSU job. he's in play until we learn he isn't.
and that will probably be about 24 hours before we announce our new coach (the inevitable unintentional intentional leak)

This. I hope people realize that a lot of the info coming from the media is intentionally released either by agents or someone in the admin. for a particular interest.
There's always a flurry of info in every direction. Agents and ADs playing proxy hard ball with each other.
I'll stand by the thought that LSU has their man in Jimbo and it's who Alleva wanted all along.
