would Gruden be at Alabama? The guy can coach, no doubt but has little clue what it takes to run the show at the college level. He is to Pro football what Saban was to college football and there is a huge question of success here at a different level with obviously different responsibilities.

I can see him being burnt in effigy next year for going 10-2, not having a top 3 recruiting class and not bringing home a Natty.

That said, I think eventually he'd be a good fit...I just don't see him getting the time needed to put that program where he thinks it should be. Would probably be a good hire, but unless they are competing for the BCSNC Alabama fans will see it as a huge fail. Which is crazy, since their lord and savior went a September 11th tragedy level 6-6 in his first year.

Alabama isn't big enough for Gruden, he would ONLY go to a top notch coaching job...

His name is Finnish for Goblin. It's perfect.

I don't think Gruden will ever coach again.

Gruden has one of the sweetest gigs in broadcasting with another year left on his contract which I see no reason for it not to be renewed I would be shocked if he walks away from that to go into that pressure cooker...

Gruden is this generation's Dick Vermeil. The name constantly comes up, but he's been out of coaching forever, and nobody can be sure the game hasn't passed him by.
