So Herman & Fisher were never coming here? Why the hate for O?

We could have gotten PJ F. or Fedora(two average coaches IMHO) and lost what is one of the best recruiting and coaching staffs in the nation. Get rid of BDP, Grimes, and we get a really good Offensive coordinator now. I bet Coach O will get a 3 year deal and we give Aranda a huge raise. frick what the hell is everyone so pissed off at HERMAN was going to Texas and Fisher wants to stay out of the SEC. frick it let's look forward to a great next few years and support this coaching staff.

No one hates O, actually we all like him as a recruiter and DL coach, and he has no business being at the helm of a program that makes as much money as LSU.

Because we settled and didn't perform a search. Jimbo asked for the world with no intention of coming and Herman wanted Texas. If O was not on the staff would we have interviewed and hired him? Hell no.

I agree but what are our other coaching options were out there. I mean maybe one of the conditions that Aranda stays is that Coach O stays. We don't know anything about what goes on behind closed doors.

Coach O wasn't my first option either but Herman had ties to UT and Fisher obviously doesn't want to come here. No way we would have kept Aranda if we had to pay Herman or Fisher. Hell Coach O at least makes adjustments at Halftime and at least makes gameday fun again. If it doesn't work out then maybe we get a coach that wants to be here.
