And now they hire him as AD. So, he was not good enough to coach for you. You fired him when he was doing a good job in one of the toughest eras in the East (Spurrier). You are a complete dumpster fire since his firing. Now he sabotages your hiring process and you make him AD. Fulmer has owned TN throughout this process. Even the years after he was fired.

Your fans need to stop running off potential candidates.
If the potential candidate is equal to or less than Butch Jones, you're Goddamn right we're gonna run them off. Bums get SCALPED, Schiano and Dorean are bums.
Notice that nobody flipped the frick out about Gundy, Brohm, Leach, or even Les or Sumlin.

Brohm, Leach, and Gundy have no way of knowing that.
Actually, they absolutely do. The social media reaction when those 3 names were floated was the exact opposite of Schiano and Dorean.
Don't be an idiot.

I'd never coach somewhere where Clay Travis runs the football program.
The Haslam brothers run the UT athletic department.
Also see Browns, Cleveland.

I thought they fired Fulmer 15 years ago
9 years ago, and it was Hamilton and his protege Currie that forced him out. They were vetting coaches on the plane mere hours after we lost in overtime vs UCLA in the first game of the season. There was 1 man who could have saved his job back then, Haslam. Phil went to Haslam and asked if he would talk to the AD on his behalf, Haslam said it was time to move on.

So ya'll are going to take some sad pride in Doeren not taking the job even though he very obviously used UT for an extension at NC State?

And Pilot Flying J, which is currently involved in a federal rebate fraud investigation.

That's sort of my point. You can't let a bunch of dumbfricks on Twitter overrule the AD.

When the AD is a Haslam puppet who is content to make the same mistakes that we have been making for a decade, go completely against his staff's recommendations, plays games with the fanbase by perpetuating Grumors because he thinks it's fun, makes offers to coaches WITHOUT the approval of the Chancellor or the University president, makes promises to boosters not named Haslam in order to get more money, then breaking those promises, DO I NEED TO GO ON? ARE YOU PICKING UP WHAT THE frick I'M PUTTING DOWN?
Maybe your fanbase doesn't have the fricking balls to stand up to a corrupt athletic director and his billionaire puppet master, but we do.
Your argument is lazy and pathetic, attempt an original thought that isn't a regurgitation of Herbstreit and national media members who are only attacking Tennessee fans because those "dumbfricks on Twitter" took control of a situation that they never could, and maybe we can have an honest discussion.

Oh yeah, that's what he did,

It had nothing to do with the 50,000 tweets he received from fans telling him that he wasn't welcome in Knoxville, nothing at all.
No but whatever gives ya'll some happiness.
