I wouldn't be upset if we got Boges as OC. In my mind, his play calling is similar to Jimbo, with more RB sweeps in place of the quick WR screens. From what I've seen and read, he may not develop QB's as well as Jimbo, but it doesn't take four years to get them to play well either.

I really don't think OC is a position that a guy can stay in one place too long and be successful.

An offer he couldn't take. The back end of his deal is loaded... he get a ton if he stays at LSU through a certain year, whether he's fired or not. I believe Michigan thought Hoke was a better option, regardless.

there you have it I guess.

Only concern with Long would be, is He a big 12 guy ? Born in Norman, coached for multiple years at OU. Back now at Kansas.

He makes a pretty good salary currently at KU. Would have to take a salary similar to that as to what Crowton is making now.

Les needs to fire Crowton, then make a run at the Paul Chryst/Bob Bostad combo

Long makes $350k at Kansas according to wiki.

I doubt it would take him much convincing that his quickest path back to being a HC again is as an OC at a SEC power.

Pretty good salary. Like I said. I think a salary around 450 k is what it would take to peak his interest.

Colossal failure as a HC. Some guys just ain't cut out for it.

But you are right, if he produces extremely well...no telling

You'd think we are headed that direction of offensive style. I think Bilj has it right though.

Not in my top 10, but still better than keeping Gary.

I see no reason why we wouldn't pay our next OC, Crowton money if he is proven.

Regardless you can't argue OC at LSU is way higher profile than OC at Kansas.

Doesn't jive with what I'm being told
But frick, anything is better than more short side options and inside tosses

What would be hilarious is if miles got rid of Gary and those calls continued next season.

Then we'd have our answer

Yes and he was interested and got a job offer from them.

But Chryst also wanted to interview for the Pitt HC position and Mack didnt have time for that shite, so he brought in Harsin
