Smart move by Riley/Nebraska Factor

I would have supported the Riley hire, but I agree with others that he might not have wanted to face the competition in the SEC. Look at what has happened to Nebraska who used to be a major player in the old Big 8. The Cornhuskers have found competing with Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State, etc. to be a lot tougher than fighting Kansas, Kansas State, Colorado, Iowa State, and other members of that old conference. All he really has to do is beat Utah and Oregon.The rest of the Pac12 is terrible.

Just like the old FSU & Miami teams or Clemson now. They have to “get up” for one game a year. Not hard to do.

I agree franchise. Clemson has certainly benefitted from the relative weakness of the ACC, and I think that the ACC is stronger than the PAC 12.
