LOL, no one would want CLM. It kind of a "Well if we got him cool if not, eh can live without. " It's not like he's in high demand.

Miles is cemented at LSU - he's loyal to LSU and the administration is loyal to him - he ain't goin anywhere.

I am worried that Texas will go after Miles. He is a good coach but a known entity. I would hate to see something like Harbaugh get fed up with professionals and end up at a school like L sU. I can take him at Texas but not having to compete against a coach like that every year.

No, only LSU fans can understand what he is says. The UT admin wouldn't know if he's accepted.

I am a Miles fan but after 9 years I am tired of defending him to stupid people. I hope he goes... Then I can enjoy the suck.

Defending him to stupid people or defending his $4.3 mil/year stupidity in games we should win by 4 td's. I'll hang up and listen.

No offense to Miles or LSU fans but to be honest I don't think Texas would be interested. I think LSU's success is perceived as more a function of talent than Miles' coaching prowess. Mark Richt is an even less likely candidate because he is viewed as doing less with more. Texas will likely be going for a proven winner who has been doing more with less.

it would be cheaper to pony up another mil than to go to market and have to outbid for another. it also is a lot less risky.

like it or not, les miles is a top college coach and is recognized to be so by most college football followers inside or outside Louisiana. there are, of course, a determined and vocal segment of distractors.

Texas isn't going to frick up this hire.

If Texas didn't have its man lined up before forcing Mack out, then it already fricked up the hire.

Anyone who Texas approaches now is automatically in the driver's seat. Texas is now negotiating from a position of desperation. That kind of hiring is apt to lead to a disappointing choice that is wildly overpaid for.

Please change your title to "should we pray that Texas takes Coach Miles?"

And btw Arnsparger's toenail is a better coach than Miles.
