He's substantially worse than Gill, who they fired after 2, and Weis who they fired 4 games into his 3rd year when he was 2-2. It took Beaty 23 games to win 2.

I have a friend who's son plays for KU. When Beatty took over for Weiss at the first team meeting there were 30 scholarship players left on the team. I think by the time the first season started there were only 21 "Weiss" players left on scholorship.This season they only had 9 seniors. According to my buddy the KU people love Beatty and don't want to fire him. Well, they don't want to fire him until the roster is built back up.

In the 33 losses in his tenure they've only been within single digits of their opponents 3 times. 83% of their games haven't been that competitive. Weis was bad but they ain't coming off the death penalty.

I have a friend who knows him and all I've heard is he is a great guy and very liked.
