Apparently it's the guy who's involved in a rape cover up scandal or bust. What a fan base we have.

Runs the same exact Veer and Shoot offense as Briles btw. (If people are worried about the Briles “baggage”)

Briles, who is pegged to be Florida Atlantic offensive coordinator, was implicated in a new Baylor lawsuit that alleges that “31 football players committed 52 acts of rape, including five gang rapes, between 2011 and 2014,” according to the Dallas Morning News’ Sarah Mervosh.

quote:

The following excerpt was included in the lawsuit obtained by the Dallas Morning News:

THE CULTURE OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE AT BAYLOR: RECRUITING

21. At the heart of BAYLOR’s renewed success on the football field were the recruiting efforts of Briles and his staff. In order to ensure that a last place team could recruit the players needed to win football games, recruiting efforts used sex to sell the program.

22. Central to their recruiting efforts, BAYLOR football coaching staff implemented a “Show em a good time” policy which permitted members of the BAYLOR football team to engage in unrestricted behavior with no consequences including but not limited to:

a. Players arranging for women, alcohol and illegal drugs for parties when recruits were in town;

b. Paying for and escorting underage recruits to bars and strip clubs; and

c. Paying for off-campus football parties (which repeatedly resulted in gang rape of women by the athletes).

23. Not only were BAYLOR’s football coaching staff instrumental in actively implementing these recruiting policies and practices, they also encouraged them. Assistant Coach Kendall Briles, while recruiting one Dallas area high school athlete stated, “Do you like white women? Because we have a lot of them at BAYLOR and they LOVE football players.”

No never named in the suit at all.

I like Gilbert. Another name last year was Helfrich. He still appealing to anyone. I was always kinda indifferent with him because of Chip controlling most of that show in Oregon.

I don’t see anything wrong with this statement from him. I think it’s pretty much understood already that women like football players.

1) you said he wasn't named in a suit. I bolded that to point out where he was named specifically.

2) the coaching staff held off campus parties for recruits where girls were raped. He is not named specifically but was part of the coaching staff.

But hey i am just a "douche nancy". what do i know?

So you telling me the players were asking them to pay for parties specifically just to rape women?

Yea I’m sure that’s exactly how that conversation went.

dude did you even bother to read the article i linked or the quote about the off campus parties? Go do a little research, read the court docs...or don't. Ignorance is bliss as they say.

These are allegations made in the suit and certainly don’t represent what really went on.

Tiger Tracker is a complete Nancy. Lol! I once saw Saban call a freshman female in 2004 a dumb bitch for giving the players water at practice at the wrong time. You’re the type a guy who calls people a Racist and throws false information at every chance he gets. The problem is JA won’t hire a guy or take a chance because he was around a program that had issues. Which Is stupid! This program is on a downward spiral because of people like you.

Yes i am sure all the women got together and made all the stories up. That's why there's at least 2 Baylor players in jail for gang rape, and the school paid out money to the rest of the victims to go away.

Are you being serious with your "certainly doesn't represent what went on." Statement??

That's OK to you i guess? You sound like a "real" man.

What type of false information have i provided here?

So you're telling me it is smart to hire a guy who's name is involved in a rape cover up scandal that's not yet closed? Why not try Gilbert or Helfrich or Cumbie? You go after the guy that may have his name further brought in to a rape scandal instead? It's not a smart business move.

Wtf are you talking about? I didn't wanna hire O. I wanted to get rid of Miles and put in a big name or up and comer. So how is it my fault?

Not trying to split hairs here, but in my experience being named in a suit typically means that you are one of the parties being sued, not that you are mentioned in the complaint.

In other words, if he had actually done something wrong he would have been sued at the very least.

In any case, isn't this thread about Sterlin Gilbert? Looks like a candidate worthy of consideration.
