I did not know we are hiring for the head coaching position? Way to compare apples to oranges.

I guess his 7-23 record as a head coach means nothing to yall.

Considering LSU is looking at him for the DC position, it certainly doesn't mean very much.

How does Les fit Shoop, Brick and Bebe into the coaching staff?

Why should it mean anything? We aren't hiring him to be our head coach.

Since head coaching records seem to matter to you when hiring a defensive coordinator, Orgeron was 10-25 at ole miss.

Id be worried if we were hiring him for HC. But we arent. A coach's accomplishments as a head coach dont matter to me if we are hiring them for a different position. Plenty of failed head coaches make great coordinators. Gregg williams, jim swartz, norv turner, romeo crennel to name a few

His defenses declined each year at Vandy. Fact
He had one great season as a DC at Penn St and now everyone on here thinks he is a great hire. Too many other guys out there with more impressive resumes. 7-23 tells a lot about a coach meaning he must not be a good recruiter. At least Coach O is a great recruiter. Recruiting is the name of the game and Chavis could of did more in that department but he didn't.

"I dont want him at DC because he was 7-23 as a HC!"

I could be wrong, but I would be very surprised if BeBe is hired in any capacity on this or any other LSU coaching staff.

A decline from 18th to just 19th to 23rd doesn't really seem melt-worthy when you consider the school he was coaching at.

He had a top 25 defense every year at fricking VANDERBILT

Are you telling me that if he stays at Penn State and they finish 3rd in total defense next season, he's on the decline? Give me a break.

His defenses at vandy went from 18 to 19 to 23? Are you kidding me with the decline? Because i was joking earlier.

Name all these candidates with better resumes.

Read what you just wrote, hoss. You're saying a 7-23 head coaching record tells you he must not be a good recruiter then proceed to bring up a guy who is a good recruiter despite having nearly the same losing record. You literally just dismantled your own argument

Would definitely be a great potential upgrade overall for the defense.

Wtf are you babbling about? He has several years at Vandy prior to his one year remarkable turn around at PSU. And no, his record as a HC is not really pertinent to his potential hire as a DC. Some people just will not admit when they make a rash judgement.
