I have wanted Rhule and Brady since O was fired. I happily boarded the Riley bandwagon but I would be super happy and impressed if Woody lands Rhule instead. I do not believe that is the direction we are heading though.

My theory is that we do have a coach he's either coaching in championship this weekend (with chance at CFP) or in NFL

It makes zero sense if the guy was:Campbell, Jimbo, Riley, dabo, stoops, Kiffin, fleck etc when they aren't playing in any championship. Woodward would want this wrapped up asap.

Fickell is not a possibility. NFL coaches are out, no one is pulling a petrino mid season. I think it’s diamond Dave, Cristobal as the wildcard.

My source is the same as Shea’s I’m pretty sure and he is joyfully confident even today. He won’t say anything but doesn’t seem concerned.

I said the same in a different thread. I think the timeline of what we're seeing right now indicates that either Riley was the guy and it fell apart at the end, or that the guy is still on the hook but is coaching a championship game or in the NFL.
Champ game guys include Aranda (hilarious if we what we really needed was OU to win last night), Bill O'Brien (yuck), etc.
NFL guys could be a long list of names. My top preference would be Rhule, but there's also Urbs (yuck) and then a host of potential coordinators that might want a HC gig in college. Who knows?
