I never had understood the mentality that you have to HURRY and hire a coach.

Take your time, make sure you get the right guy. Credit card mentality man.

The recruits are going to stay if they want to stay. What's 3 or 4 recruits MAYBE lost vs getting a shitty coach you have to live with and buy out in 3 yrs?

I'm sorry I must have missed where the poster said regular season. You fellas should probably bother to read the thread.

But how are we going to make our program like the Auburn's and Tennessee's of the world unless we do this?

Quick satisfaction, the American/southern way. Get me that big screen TV now from Rent-A-Center at $119/month instead of paying the whole $400 for one!

Why are LSU fans in such a hurry to lose to Arkansas?

We nearly beat yall with JLS and he doesn't even know how to steer a boat. Don't be surprised when yall become Arkansas' bitch again when we hire our Capt'n.

Almost win in a game you never led. I'd love to know how you came to that conclusion. At no point could a meteorite have struck the stadium and Arkansas would have been declared the winner in this game since there was no moment you actually held a lead.

Congrats on another in a spectacular series of moral victories. I'd put this one up there with the Bush Push moral victory.

Nice deflection- how about answering my question?

Why are LSU fans so ready to become Arkansas' bitch once we hire our Capt'n?

Whether we could have or should have won, we did not... you will hear no excuses from me.
DJ fumbles on the friggin 1 and our normally reliable kicker suddenly gets the shanks. We did not deserve to win but at least we saw our guys fight for 4 quarters. (That didn't happen much this year)
Back to the coaching search: This time next week we will likely have our coach. I refuse to worry too much at this point.

I'm thinking you don't know what a deflection is. I mortally wounded your major premise. You, for all intents and purposes, lost because of the structure of your argument. I guess I deflected in the same way the guillotine deflects someone's head.

I would agree with this of theY hadn't put an offer in front of Miles.

That offer tells you that either Miles was absolutely their #1 target, or that all of the back channeling that was going on with Patterson fell through and now they are moving down the list.

My guess is that they know Patterson isn't happening. They now know Miles isn't happening.

In the next week they will probably move toward Gundy and/or Strong.

If those guys don't take the job they are in big trouble as it relates to this hire.

Except for the fact that only a fricking retard would believe Jeff Long actually tried to hire Les Miles to be the head coach of the hogs. This was a straight up cash grab by Miles. Whether or not it was done with Long's approval is anyone's guess.

knock knock- sounds hollow. we're hiring a coach who coaches another team which may very well be playing this weekend.

*Arky has been turned down several times...Gary Patterson is emerging as the frontrunner but other potential coaches are Butch Jones/Charlie Strong could be contacted after this weekend.

That site is on crack. They've said Patterson is the frontrunner/staying at TCU like 3 different times now.
