For him still having people dislike him at Michigan. I am happy with him staying as the LSU coach

I've never seen a football program that seems to be so reliant on the advice of a former coach. It's like Lloyd Carr is in charge of everything. I evidently wasn't paying attention when he was the greatest coach of all time.

He's an average coach. He's not worth his salary. I wouldn't go after him either.

I like Miles. I hate his ultra conservative approach and his love for Jennings and before him Jefferson. I don't think he's good at making in-game adjustments.

I just want him to not be so predictable on offense. Overall I've enjoyed him as our coach.

Eta my fault, thought this was about burning bridges with our fanbase.

To dispel the garbage rumor about Moeller and Miles...

quote:

I have posted the real reason a number of times here before. But that's not the point. The point is that no one should be posting a rumor like that when in fact they admit it is nothing more than a rumor. How do you think Moeller and his wife would feel about it, not to mention Les, especially when its not true? In defense of Les and the Moellers I will post what I know (not think but know) is the real reason Les and Carr do not get along. Les and Bill McCartney (former UM DC and Colorado head coach) coached together at Michigan and were very close friends. Carr was an assistant at the time as well. Carr had an affair with McCartney's brother's wife. (google Carr and if you dig enough you will see that his wife's name was McCartney, I did). This caused a huge rift between McCartney and Carr with Miles standing alongside his friend McCartney. Obviously when Carr got the head job it was time for Les to leave, which he did on his own. I also knew Les quite well back in college. He was not the type who would have done something like that. The people that I know that are still close to him and who live in AA are quite certain where the rumor started. Interesting, isn't it, that the rumor happened to surface just at the time Carr retired and Les was the logical choice for the job?

That's it....really? Lloyd Carr must be one powerful dude....especially since he was an awful coach....I still think Miles heads North...
