Stupid question; if he does go to Lincoln, does abandoning a QB you convinced to move half way across the world discredit him with future out of state recruits?

i tend to agree

IF this is true Nebraska must have essentially written him a blank check

You need to get on your busker buddy. Sounds like he has some doubts.

i had kelly, mullen, campbell and gundy ahead of frost anyway. i would have been happy with frost and thought maybe him and campbell were our only realistic options left. honestly didn't think randy quaid would leave state. also had leach, kiffin and petrino over frost, but never thought we'd hire them.

"shitter's full" in gainesville now.

It has nothing to do with money, and more to do with the Nebraska culture. Frost was born and raised there and knows how much it means to the people there. There's a reason why they have sold out every game since 1963, despite the shitty seasons over the past 20 years. It's pretty much all the people have to look forward to, and Frost is their only hope at this point. Frost knows what's at stake and there's no way he can turn that down.

Mullen is a solid hire, no doubt. You could've fared a lot worse.

I get the culture and the hometown guy argument, but with that also comes an insane amount of scrutiny and stress. Which aren’t ideal for a new marriage and new kid.

gotcha.

i can also see the Nebraska faithful being a little more patient with Frost considering the above.

Nightmare scenario for UF. Passed up by Chip and rejected by Frost. Big blow to the brand.

Congrats on getting a guy who doesn’t care about winning championships, that’s if he even goes to Nebraska. Mullen will destroy Frost records over the next 4 years .

UF is a much much much better program than Nebraska

As far as what? Tradition, fanbase, facilities, patience to develop a team, conference. I would give Nebraska the lead in these.

Recruiting ground is a push. Florida is great, but Florida will never lock up the state or any area of it. Even under Spurrier Florida was not head and shoulders better at recruiting than nebraska.

B1G or SEC. Hard to miss the playoffs from either.

Everything Frost has said this year has lead me to believe he’s staying at UCF.

Sounds like he is a face prick if he really agreed to a deal with Nebraska before the season was over after all of the comments he said about waiting till the season was over . UCF needs to push for game against Nebraska soon so they can kick Frost butt as the program he thought was worth leaving them for .

Nebraska is a poor mans Wisconsin. Frost will be Pellini-esque, which you need to accept is awesome because, Nebraska.

Still holding out hope that he stays. As futile as it is. Hell, I’m good for $1,000 a year if he stays - if only more alum were too.

Madison is miles better than Lincoln. Lincoln is just awful.
