34-26-1. Not saying we are hiring him or the next version of him I am not naive.

However, before we all shite on guys like Campbell, don’t lose sight that situation does matter. Belichick has personally tried to hire Campbell in the past even with his record.

Not saying we should hire Campbell specifically, but we shouldn’t just look at record here.

Moving forward I would really like to see a hire by next weekend. One recruiting class shouldn’t matter in the grand scheme but we also shouldn’t be too patient where the new hire is even further behind the 8 ball.

This is what we hired you for Woodward. Please get this right.

Campbell has a better college resume than Saban did when hired.

But that doesn’t mean shite.

Campbell can coach. He will get the most out of players.

Only wild card is his recruiting.

If you could promise me “Campbell will not put lsu at a recruiting disadvantage”, I don’t think there are more than 5 coaches in the country I’d take over him

Campbell is solid.

I’ve Ben banging this drum for over a month.

But a balanced offense consistently. Team plays super hard. Punches way above their weight. He recruits better than the program used to. Despite being a small school. Hard enough to recruit kids to Iowa anyway, not to mention the fact he’s not even the biggest school in Iowa.

He’s a solid solid hire. I think he’s a better coach than Riley. It’s just not as sexy

And Sabans next team to be at MSU was terrible and he knew it. 2000 MSU team went 2-6 in conference. He knew that 2000 MSU team would kill his stock and got out while he could.

You swing for Riley and miss, you can’t retreat to “just not as sexy”.

Recruiting matters a lot though. I do think he can do more with less because he has, but my concern is recruiting.
