Doesn't Saban have a vacation house somewhere in Georgia? If so, does anybody know where in Georgia?

Anyone can get a police escort. You apply for the permit and pay the fee, then you get off-duty police officers to escort you to the destination put on the permit (no different than any entertainer or celebrity).

So he got a police escort in Baton Rouge, fearing the information (exact travel details) that he is coming to LA would be made public prior to arrival. He's he recruiting, so while we are sitting around talking about him coming back to LSU as HC, he's in LA gathering players for Alabama.

He had an escort leaving the airport just like he will have an escort returning to the airport (block him from press, fans or enemies). Get over it.

bertman is such a senile old fool. i know he has to say stuff like "oh we have a coach and it's les miles" but a lot of his interviews come off as really rude. does he really think the entire community is unaware les miles is going to michigan?

I am just pasting this here in case it disappers off the LSU Revellie Web site for some reason

I've heard reports of that. I think it is on one of the lakes up in the mountains - Lake Rabun, Lake Blueridge, something like that.

Not on one of the "well known" Georgia lakes like Altoona or Lanier.

I was just wondering because apparently that plane that came here from Tuscaloosa yesterday went to Savannah/Hilton Head airport today.

Maybe they're trying to keep him from being killed. Despite half the Rant, there are a number of LSU contingents who would love to shoot his arse.

That's what I'm thinking. He'll need extra security for the game next year (assuming he's still coaching Bama).

Investigator: Sir, we are 'they'."

I saw him in BR on Wednesday afternoon, but I wasn't going to say anything because I would have been blasted. He was walking to his car outside the Ath Admin Bldg...

Regardless, the word is Spurrier has a contract in hand... just waiting for Miles to announce he's leaving for Michigan.

I just heard from a credible source that ABC will be releasing a new reality series about LSU's coaching search. :beatdeadhorse:

He was just stopping by to do the final punchout list on Sabanville and wanted them to go ahead and change the carpet in the coach's office.

What recruit there is showing interest in Bama? For that matter, what other recruits from the BR area are considering Bama, if any?

I wouldn't know of any. Maybe that's why he was apparently here. Trying to recruit Lacy or York

I know that all of this talk is purely speculation, but that's just what I heard

The only thing that makes me think he was not here recruiting is that the plane he took to recruit in Monroe was the actual Crimson Tide foundation plane. It seems like if he was recruiting in Baton Rouge he would have taken that plane as well. However, that plane never came to Baton Rouge.
