no comparison in my opinion. NS was taking over a team coming off probation and series sanctions. Tom Herman lost to a team in his second year as a HC. And I dont think UH is coming off sanctions. UH has lost two games in two years that have kept them out of any consideration for the final 4. With that being said I would welcome Herman as the next coach at Bama when NS steps down. But that probably wont happen since we all know Lane is the head coach in waiting.

who are we comparing? If you look at NS early years as ahead coach, Herman looks pretty dang good.

i did not know that was how far people were going back. Someone brought up the ULM loss for NS's first year at Bama. and were comparing that to Herman.

You have to admit when NS took over MSU, LSU, and Bama they were not ideal situations and he helped built a new foundation. MSU was a dormat and had them competitive. LSU was pretty low best I recall. Bama had a bad 8-10 year stretch.

First time head coaches hardly ever walk into ideal situations. 9-2 @ Toledo. Three 5-6 or 6-5 consecutive years @ Michigan State, with his last year at around 9-2 (estimating). I like Herman's start better, plus he's befriended Saban, and worked under Urban. Sound damnnnn goooodd!!!!!

Other than that, I would not dare compare anyone (living) to Saban. Ha ha

I also like the 35 year old coach at Western MI. If I was a college player I would follow him up hamburger hill

And I saved 15% on auto insurance! WDFC what some coach did or didn't do. They ALL, if they are smart, learn from other coaches.
