Miles called Michigan to accept the job. Bill Martin couldnt be reached because he was out sailing. Herbie broke the story and without Les being able to talk to Martin he changed his mind and stayed at LSU.

between the story not breaking on Les's terms and all of LSU's dominos falling into the BCSNCG, Les backed out of a potential Michigan deal

I'm sick of hearing the word sources. That's so vague and we eat it up. Source might be Jimbo the plucky young intern who doesnt know jack.

It's starting to make its rounds on Bama pay sites. If it was purely speculation, the rumors would be zapped with the quickness. Watch the flight tracker tomorrow and see if it comes true.

My speculation is that Jamail has zero interest in the Astros. However, he has plenty of interest in O&G activity & it is common knowledge that Brown is given a piece by certain UT boosters - not just Jamail. IF he is genuinely negotiating for the UT job, Sabans not stupid enough to look at that gravy train and not ask for a bite.

lawyers but I don't know if they have any connection to UT.

ETA: i'm not even sure if they are that important. I sent a text to my Houston guy. He breathes the same air as these people and might know something. Heck, knew Mack wasn't going anywhere last year and knew why.
