I have read on here several times that that scenario would not happen. My question is why not? If I was the AD at Notre Dame and had a bag full of cash, I would throw it at him plus some as I would go after the best college football coaches in America, and he is one of them. I doubt that he would take the job as I feel he has learned some what of a lesson from the past and realizes he is in a good position, but you cannot rule out the possibility.

don't be surprised if Sexton gets him a raise due to the ND opening. Flirt just enough to make the gumps panic and bump his pay.

So Saban would be an idiot to take a ton of cash and go to one of the most prestigious colleges in America?

Notre Dame football is never going to be what it was and people(especially those in the media) need to realize this.
The administration is only going to allow a few exceptions to allow the dumb athlete to play there. The weather sucks. The girls aren't that hot.

10 years ago, people were saying the same thing about teams like OU USC and Alabama.

People said when LSU hired Saban that was stupid, that LSU was a black holem no one can win there, we had 7 coaches in 20 years, etc. 2 NC and 3 SEC titles later, that sounds pretty stupid.

History alone won't win for ND. But saying they will never win is foolish at best.

SEC tards crack me up sometimes, Not everyone thinks 95 and 85% humidity is great weather. Kids will go where they think they can win.

My question is why would he want to leave Alabama. He has everything he's ever wanted here.

pretty much. I don't think Saban goes anywhere for a while. meaning at least another 5 or so years.

Saban is all about the money and his ego. He would leave Bammer in a heart beat if they offered him the farm (how does 10 million a season sound) ND has the money and will spend it so don't be surprised if this happens.

the challenge of turing things around at ND would have to be at least intriguing. I can't see Saban leaving Bama now and if pressed would say he will probably retire there in the next 7-10 years, but it wouldn't shock me to see him (or Meyer) go to a place like that so they can turn it around.

Why do all the LSU fans act like they personally know Nick Saban. I bet none of you have ever met the guy.

A situation of big time dollars coupled with a mega recruiting base, TV exposure and rebuilding a history laden program would be attractive to anyone.

Do I think it would happen? NO.

Could it happen? YES.

I just don't think it could be ruled out, like some others think so.

I bet if they put 8 million(twice as much as the highest paid) down on the table that it wouldn't get turned down more than once or twice. I bet ND could easily throw out 10 million.

I would rank the best coaches in America and start at the top with offers.

I also heard that his wife hates it there and wants to move. I think ND is a better fit for the Saban's.

You need a question mark at the end of the sentence but I understand. Saban will leave Alabama b/c he doesn't hunt Deer or Turkeys. What else is there to do in Bama? Buy a house on ONO and hang out at Orange Beach Marina?

I can't see saban at ND. he is a football only person (no other serious interests) and needs a football crazy atmosphere like bama (where there is nothing else). ND is academics and religion first not football.

Maybe 30 years ago. What exactly has Notre Dame done good in football recently? The answer is nothing. So with a bright future at Alabama and a lot of money coming his way, why the frick would Saban go to Notre Dame? Jesus you gotta think man.
