Question: What is Bill Belichick's record without Tom Brady as his QB?

You're gonna hate him regardless.

I've hated every coach @ Bama. I also hate Muschamp, Richt, Sumlin, Bielema, Mullen, Gus, Franklin, Spurrier, Jones, Freeze, Pinkle, Stoops....

If he had said he could've succeeded in the NFL, you would say he was a totally arrogant bullshitter.

Because he quit, dumb arse.

Instead, he shows an ounce of humility, and actually fricking admits that he thrives more where he can actually re-shape the program in a short amount of time, and you call him a bitch.

Nice spin. Dude said he couldn't compete due to parity.

ETA: So if Miles (or any other coach) has ever talked about his strengths AND his weaknesses, he's a bitch, also? Got it.

Show me a link where Miles said he couldn't do a job because he didn't have any advantages.

Show me a link where Saban said that. Take the glasses off and actually read it.

ETA: I'll give you a hint. The key word is "create."

Here's the quote. What exactly is he saying here then?

quote:

It’s just the rules of parity in that league make it difficult to create any advantage for yourself.

Does this really have to be explained to you? In college, through recruiting and development, you can create a program, even from scratch in any way you like. This is more difficult in the NFL.

I don't understand how anyone could disagree. How is this even remotely wrong to say?

No one said it's wrong.

Then why was this thread created? What's the OP all about? What's up with the people in this thread who have an issue with it or say he's a bitch?

It's a bitch thing to say because he's blaming his NFL failure on the system instead of just saying he was in over his head. Nick could/would NEVER admit that.

Here's how a rational person reads it:

"I am better suited for college than the NFL because of the inherent differences."

Here's how some LSU fans, like yourself, read it:

"It's the NFL's fault I didn't succeed and had to leave! Wah! Wah!"

Sure, and the LSU fans in here attacking him, saying he sucks, saying he isn't as good as Belichick... that all has nothing to do with the fact that they're LSU fans. Right?

Uhhhhhh, he's not as good as Belichick. It's ok to admit that.

Also, y'all better hope he doesn't have the desire to prove himself again.

Already did. Who cares?

It's weird that yall care. LSU plays Alabama, not the Patriots.

We'll be fine. Unlike LSU, Alabama was an already an elite program before he came there.

As of the end of the 2006 season season, before Saban came to Alabama, Alabama had:

by far the most SEC Titles
the most SEC West titles (which only started in 1992)
the most bowl appearances in the country
the most bowl victories in the country
Top 3 all-time victories
Most 10-win seasons in the country
a whole buttload of National Titles

But, no, Bama wasn't an elite program at all.

Bama had a NC in '92. Before that, 1979. From '92 to when Saban arrived y'all had a couple of 10 win seasons, went or probation twice and went through 3 coaches.
