Does anyone honestly believe that either a.) the school would be even slightly interested in attempting to re-hire Saban (not to mention willing to buy out his agreement), or b.) Saban would even give one moment's thought to leaving his new post at Bama?
The whole notion is ridiculous.

He doesnt have a buyout, can leave with no penalty

I completely agreed with you until you proved you were ignorant of the situation by stating he had a buyout. I mean come on!
I still think it is idiotic to think he will coach LSU next year.

I don't care if his contract comes with a lifetime membership to the Jelly of the Month club......a.) LSU would have absolutley no interest in re-hiring him, and b.) he would have absolutely no interest in leaving his brand new, $4mm / year post at Bama. It's too early for both sides of that equation.

I think Saban would love to get out of Alabama. The people that run the show over there are absolutely crazy and will drive away every coach they get until those people die off. I think LSU would at least entertain the idea of bringing him back if, and only if, he comes to us, which I have heard from an has already happened.

I don't want Saban back...he seems like nothing more to me than a bounty hunter...he goes wherever the $$$$ is.

and I don't think we should or would pay him as much as Alabama pays him, and, I know people may think I'm stupid, I think he wouldn't mind.

I thought the same thing this time last year about him leaving the Dolphins. Not trying to play "gotcha" here, but really, to me it is unpredictable.

Oh, is it now....

Stupid? No. Dellirious...very much so. You are, however, correct that LSU would likely not pay ANY coach $4mm+ to take the captain's chair in Baton Rouge. But arguing that Saban would accept the job for less money is pure insanity. All evidence points directly to the contrary.

Y'all just keep calling it bullshite and see what happens. If he doesn't go back to LSu it will be because one of y'alls boosters said absolutely not to Saban and made LSU choose between him or Saban. Book it!

Agreed. And I see Beauxregard's point that LSU fans are crazy as well, but with Bama, what some of the bamers have told me is that the Ath. Dept, particularly the compliance staff, has no desire to do things the "Saban way." Is that enough to run him off? Maybe not, but evidently that's the difference in LSU and Bama right now.

A lot of evidence, including personal contacts, indicates that you are right, scoop. It should be interesting. Of course, no one is willing to believe anything.

Scoop, what is your take?

This is the most ridiculous string of blog postings I've ever read. "Seriously, my sister dates a guy who bags groceries for Skip Bertman's electrician, and he swears that Nick Saban was at Raising Canes last night...." Stop making idiotic comments, and start thinking logically: a.) would LSU pay more than $4mm for a choach right now (no)...b.) would saban accept less than what he's making at Bama right now; especially considering he's been there for less than 300 days (no)...c.) would anyone at LSU be interested in re-hiring a coach that left the school on his own accord 4 years ago, only to end up right back at on one of our largest rival's campuses (no).
Again, think about the entire situation before you start spouting off ridiculous opinions.
