A source close to Orgeron told the News Sentinel that LSU offered Orgeron substantially more money than UT did. Tennessee is expected to pay Orgeron about $600,000 annually. The source said Orgeron turned down the LSU offer saying he was already committed to UT.
I would actually like to believe this is true.

I call BS on this. If this was true he would have come to LSU. Coaches dont live up to commitments, see Saban

We are talking about O...his word is shite.

Petey and O recruiting Louisiana would really piss me off. Recruiting board meltdowns would be imminent.

Some do, but this one smells fishy. If O was so in love with LSU why isn't he here, especially if offered more money. There is more to this than we know.

Do we really believe this? Coach O took the high road by taking a lesser offer from UT just because he was already "committed"? When supposedly he talked to UT "after" LSU when UT was making a last ditch effort? Just doesn't sound right to me. But maybe I'm way off.
