Rumor going around Orgeron has accepted State DC job.

Buddy of mine who runs a state blog says that Orgeron has interviwes and accepted the DC job under Mullen. Interesting if true.

Actually glad he ended up at State and not on a staff that's a real threat to LSU in Louisiana recruiting

Someone who has connections and believes it himself. His info may be wrong but he is connected and this is the information he is hearing. I'm not going to call him out but this isn't a guy who knows a guys who heard someone say that Is on a secret board type stuff. He is connected.

I don't believe this report because of prior contracts, salaries, etc...but if it does come to fruition it's bad news for OM recruiting.

Freeze learned everything he know from Orgeron and Freeze is a more likable person and OM has always recruiter better than State so if Ed O wants to recruit and not develop that defense then I'm not scared.

I'll admit that I would rather not have Orgeron at State from a recruiting stand point, but with Mullen being an offensive mind it has to be a red flag to State fans that the guy in charge of your defense has never called a defense before at any level.

Call me crazy but this doesn't worry near as much as hearing Randy Shannon interviewing for the job. I have a lot of confidence in Freeze when he goes head to head in recruiting against Ed.

Ed is 1000x's better recruiter than Shannon.
We're expecting to lose Shannon before too long, there were rumors of him going to Florida before they took Collins from MSU.
