Lateral move IMO. He would get out from under UT and OU though.

To me its a step down. You go from a Big 12 school to a Big East school. You've got to wait on a head coaching job at an SEC or prominent Big Ten, Pac Ten, or Big XII.

yeah, but you go from a consistent 3rd place or lower team(in your own division), with no hope of doing any better, to a team that you can build into a conference champion within a few years.

dude, the big east is not a bad conference AT ALL this year

and its more of a league for people who dont necessarily want all the bullshite that comes along with it

trust me, leachs personality would fit perfectly in the big east

He has a better chance at making a BCS bowl game at Louisville, which also means that he has a better chance at winning a national title there.

Look at how close Rodriguez came to playing for a BCS championship at WVU (prior to choking).

I really think he wants out of Lubbock. That place is a fricking shithole. He could dominate the Big East.

The only time they've even come remotely close.

He could do the shite he did last year every year in the Big East.

The only team in the Big East is Pitt, so yes he can dominate there. I agree completely

However, in order to get a chance to play in a BCS bowl game, let alone the title game, he has to beat BOTH Texas and OU and THEN win the Big XII title game.

In the Big East, he'd have at most one other contender of that caliber and no conference championship game.

Cincy and West va are in the Big East too and I bet Schiano's D could put a hurtin on Leach's offense (maybe not)

You can count out Cincy when Brian Kelly leaves, and WVU hasn't done that much. Doesn't LSU start the home and home next year with WVU?

Aren't we talking next year??? And if so do you really believe Kelly will still be at Cincy next year? And to put USF up there at the top of the Small East is laughable. Oh yeah LOL
