I think thats frickin absurd. Who gives a frick it has nothing to do with your school. There are fans like that but they have those at every school, even yours.

Kirby is probably the best candidate available from the coordinator position, and strong possibility of holding good recruiting class together.

We have a winner.

That's not true at all. I am warming up to the idea only because I'm an AU fan and homer who can convince myself that any hire has the potential for a big payoff. Any hire but one.

I think if he had some experience outside of Saban, even as a DC at another school like Muschamp, there wouldnt be so much hesitancy

Absolutely agree. It's one reason that I thought that he would do better away from the SEC for a while, regardless of where he eventually ends up. You get the chance to see what kind of program he would build without the expectations and pressures. But then, I guess if he's able to do that at an SEC school, all the power to him.

Well, even though this notion is only partially true, I still found this funny from a bama fan...

If Kirby Smart took the Auburn job, it would be fitting if his house got rolled w/toilet paper. House is in Signal Hill, 4th on the right...

Saban runs the defense anyway - why are you so upset?

I for one am not upset. I'd just like to see Smart hang around for the title game, but I doubt that happens. The only thing I don't like is that I really like Kirby Smart and would like to wish him well, so it'll suck hoping he fails miserably at his next job

It's a little suspect to take the "right hand man" from your huge rival's winning teams more than once. It's sort of like when your frenemy tries to steal your boyfriend more than once, but settles for the younger brother.

You take our linebacker's coach...we take your defensive coordinator.

I was thinking about Pat Dye and Brother Oliver, and now Kirby.

I don't know much about Kirby Smart, but it seems like a reach for Auburn - two years off a MNC - to have to offer their HC job to a coordinator from their biggest rival.

I'm aware. But I'm still gonna get a shot in on the wife beating Benedict Arnold.

I'm glad Alabama didn't have to worry about keeping a recruiting class together when we hired Saban. Gave us more of a clean slate.

How many of Saban's former assistants coach directly against him now?

Muschamp
Fisher
Grantham

Dooley and Sunseri were fired... who else?
