I feel bad for Rich Rod. I've never seen a coach fired so many times. I mean, enough is enough.

Team still has a meeting at 4:00 p.m Reply which is a bit strange. You'd think they'd have it earlier so they could be told in person instead of reading it all over web sites.

team meeting is most likely with the AD and assistants. RR wont be hanging around to meet with them later - he most likely is already seeing the kids because I am sure they were hanging out at the facility waiting to hear what was up.

I like RR and think he is a good coach. I never thought the Michigan job was a good fit but I bet he lands on his feet, whether that be this year or next year.

I seriously doubt Miles leaves....he is in a really good situation at LSU, save some fans that don't like him. As a college football coach, you will find fans that don't like you anywhere you go.

RR was dumb for leaving. shite comes back to bite you when do something like that. You shite on your alma mater and leave them hanging - you are doomed. It just didn't sit right and he was bound to get slapped in the face at Michigan by fans, alumni, boosters at both UM and WVU. He is now hated in two states!

Man, they must really hate Rich Rod up there in Ann Arbor. Firing the guy twice in 2 days. I wish we could pick him up as our OC.
He loves coaching and I think it would be a nice break for him to be surrounded by so much talent and only have to run the offense.

That's a little strong. He took a promotion.

Arguably he could've handled it better, but he moved up. You can't really blame him.

Just like I don't blame Saban for going to Miami - again, how he left could have been handled better.

Is it Palmer on ESPN? He thinks that Les is the best fit for Michigan. Michigan is using the excuse for firing Rod as he is not a Michigan MAN.

I guess we will see. With the recruiting season about to end, I would hate to lose any of our prime recruits because of the rumors.

Garmisch Tiger

That was my point - sorry for not making it clear. "shite" on his alma mater = how he left them, not that he left. I agree it was a promotion (Michigan = winningest football program in NCAA history) but he burned bridges not only at WVU on that move but to other places in his profession.

He's either interested or playing Alevia for a new deal.

Remember last time he got a new deal out of this, Skip was the AD and loved Les. Alleva really does not like Les.

I have no clue but

Having your kids hear the stupid shite people repeat, "anti Miles talking points" and going to coach where you played. Not to mention MI is actually a big deal in the not so distant past could = Les leaving

There's a lot of talk about finding a "Michigan Man" who understands the school, the conference, the culture, etc. My question is, what the hell does this even mean? What's special/unique about Michigan that couldn't be said for any other big school? Other schools tend to do fine without alums as head coaches, so why do Michigan fans think they are special in this regard? This is a serious question.
