Woody, this is the home run that will satisfy the largest percentage of boosters, fans, and rantards. It’s that simple.

Personally I believe this is the guy. We never offered Riley Napier or Jimbo. Will be announced this week.

He was and is the prize of this coaching search. I’d debate his candidacy against anyone out there. You can give him a raise and save him from being fired. And before anyone says why are you hiring a failure, please see the two greatest living college coaches: Saban and Meyer.

I think you’re right. I’m not sure he’ll take the job though.

Oh that’s mighty impressive, 32-27 in conference games while in college AND he’s shitting the bed in the NFL. Let’s rush out and hire this guy !!

He took over two of the biggest dumpster fires in football.

So you're holding it against him that he greatly improved crappy teams? Or, are you mathematically unable to see the positive trends?

Happen to look at what he stepped into and what he built? Twice? At schools with no football history?

Try again. You can do it. Read the record of the first year, middle years, and last year. Put some thought into it. This is why people want him.

If a NFL team can't get passed the 50 yard line, is that evidence of great program development?

Mighty impressive how ignorant this take is considering what he inherited at each place and how he left them.

Of the people being talked about, he is the one that checks the most boxes in my opinion.

Aranda w/Herman is the only other legit candidate.

Anyone else is “settling”.

What do you think he would be doing at LSU. As long as you’re ok with 32-27 in conference, by all means go get him!!

Again, I’m judging based on apples to apples, not apples to oranges. Judge Saban on NFL and he’s shite too.

He’s the single best hire of any candidate.

After him I’d take Aranda, Campbell or the Wake Forest guy. While 2nd tier candidates these 3 have the highest ceiling. I liked Riley if we got him but he’s a bit too offense only. The longer he’s been there the less balanced they’ve become. We need a guy that can be balanced offense and defense.
