He's not Michigan's first choice and demands more respect.

Miles can keep that house and wait it out to sell. The man makes millions....

Isn't Smacker a senior? Isn't Michigan's swim program pretty good?

a) He has a national contender in LSU, but Michigan keeps treating him as an also ran

b) Michigan is only ponying up $5 mil for coaching salaries. Miles at $4 mil, doesnt leave much room for other quality coaches. Then theres the buyout?

c) Michigan is in shambles. Miles beat Moo St handily. We saw what Moo St did to Mich. Miles is too old to rebuild. LSU is one OC from a possible BCS appearance.

d) Mentioning Miles always brings up Moeller. Michigan is too proud to keep hearing that.

e) Once Miles steps on campus, there is an immediate chasm between the Bo & Carr factions. Miles is not good enough at statement games or media communications to ever heal those wounds.

f) Michigan is VERY cold, with bland food

This is part of the problem. If we continue to keep passing up quality coaches because of stupid crap that may or may not have happened 20+ years ago, then we deserve to be in the position we are in.
No one wants to touch us with a 10 foot pole, even people with ties to the University because of all this garbage in-fighting and what not. That right there should be the wake up call.

Les Miles is proven in the SEC. He won a National Championship and has beaten Ohio State, something we haven't done in 7 years. I don't give a crap what people think he may have done if it means we will be in contention again.

Good point. Nobody wants a coach that wins games. They all want to be pitiful losers like you.

I think this more than anything else would cause Coach Miles to think twice. He could be going from the frying pan into the fire by jumping off the LSU wagon to go to Michigan. One more thing - inside Michigan itself, Michigan State is resurgent - in-state recruiting will not be a slam-dunk for Michigan anymore.

Lloyd Carr is still on staff at Michigan and Les Miles isn't at all crazy about that idea. Especially because of all the talk about Carr running his mouth about who he likes and doesn't like.
