How long do you think it takes? About a week? Would be nice to have one as soon as we can for recruiting purposes.

Might it be better to wait until after signing day to make the hire? Send Kevin Faulk or somebody out recruiting in Aranda’s place? Hint to each recruit that we’re about to hire whichever DC they like the most. Seem to recall Les making that move in the past.

I’m guessing if it doesn’t happen early next week it will be after signing day when it’s announced.

Seems like it’s a bad idea to be without a DC for recruiting. You want to be able to talk scheme and scheme-fit with recruits. Hinting at a guy isn’t really going to get you there when everyone else can just talk about the guy they definitely have running their defense.

Can hire a dc and hold out on Brady’s replacement until NSD2.

I'm sure Ed O will jump on it as soon as he gets back from his Whitehouse trip.

Coach O is probably calling recruits and coaching candidates from the Red Phone in the Oval Office.

A couple years ago Sabah made recruiting calls from the WH.

True, but at the same time this past season's sucess will sway a few kids who would have normally been on the fence about it. DC or not.
