with all the speculation on the coaching staff. And the talented 5stars on their way. how long will it take to become the only team with three crystals?

LSU goes to SECCG next year. Losing to FLA in rematch. But Fla will not go to NC bc they will have two losses (LSU/UGA). 2010 LSU will win SEC and go to Fiesta BCS NC. Spanking USC 38-24 BOOK IT

You guys shouldn't expect NC's but an SEC Title in the next 3 or so years is realistic.

If Black and Lafell come back, we're going after it next year.

Nobody realistically expects National Championships. There's too much randomness and pure luck involved in getting to #1 or #2, especially playing in the SEC. That said, if you can get to the SEC title game every 3 or 4 years, you've got to have a better shot at the NC game than your average bear.

I will go ahead and say 2 years, when the best from the class of 2007 are seniors (T. Toliver, J. Barksdale, Nevis, C. Jones), and the majority are RSJRs (guys on the oline like Hebert, Dworaczyk and McCoy...guys on the dline like Corley).

Then fill in the gaps with younger players from the last two classes...you'll probably have RS at QB and Ford and maybe even Seastrunk at HB.....

+1

As bad as the QB siuation was this year, with even a marginally better defense they win the West. With a good DC, more experience at QB, a top recruiting class and improved attitude, this team will be ready to make a run for the SEC title next year and should be right back in the thick of the NC hunt. If they hold on to veteran guys like LaFell and Francois, that's even better.
LSU to play Florida for the SEC title next year, book it!
