Anyone want to take a shot?

This is impossible...even Johnson is a hell of a coach with what he's got available...
He'd be bowling every year at pretty much any other school in the country..

I like my head attached, and since Miles is not in my top 5, I'm hesitant.

meyers
richt
spurier (although he is fading, years ago he would be number 1 on this list)
saban (sliping as well so far)
miles
petrino (can't judge him fairly until he takes the field in the SEC)
tubby
fulmer
nutt
brooks
croom
johnson
last 5 is hard to sort really.

#1 and #2 subject to change come Jan 7th.
#8 subject to moving up if he can prove to be effective in the SEC.
#7 gets mad props for Crooming Bama and Auburn, and so he gets a bit of a boost.
All in all, 1-9 could change drastically any given season and its too hard to peg them down. 10 and 11 could move up but they need to prove it with more than scattered success.
#12 is hard to gauge because of Vandy's continued emphasis on athletics.

That's about what I'd have said.
It'd be interesting to see how Saban, Meyer, or Petrino would do over more than a 5 year span.

Miles is clearly the best coach we have ever had at LSU. Any of you that would consider ranking Miles at #2 or below are just crazy. It's Miles and everyone else. Saban is 10 or 11, in my opinion. Urban Meyers is #2, Miles is #1.
