Randy Shannon would be a great splash big name hire. Couple that with his ability to recruit and scheme and we have ourselves the staff we need to win and win big. Bama and LSU you're on notice.

You forgot about needing better play from the o-line.

We have a very young oline.....they look to be pretty talented though. They will be fine since we have one of the top ol position coaches in the nation.

Until Arkansas's staff makes a decision to build a real defense it doesn't matter who coaches the damn thing. Petrino likes his offensive play makers and he will continue to put his best athletes on offense. Until that changes his defenses will give up points.

I'm almost allowing myself to be convinced it's true.

Just read on twitter that Petrino hasn't even contacted Shannon.

Who the heck knows now?

ETA: That tweet was from coachingsearch

Then there was a tweet that said DD Jones posted on Facebook that he can't wait to play for Shannon his senior year.

Bo Mattingly all over it...players saying so...

If it's not true, I'll probably cry.

ETA: And someone on Rivals who I can never remember posting BS has said so as well.

Congrats to former head coach and forever Cane, Randy Shannon, the new defensive coordinator for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

He could just be going off the same bogus blog that hogville is going of off so I'm still tempering my excitement for now.

This is why, or one of many reasons why, that I don't bother with Hogville. Too much crap to sort through.

I read RT and that's it these days but unfortunately they are getting a lot of their info today on Shannon from hogville so I'm getting it second hand.
