Find the best young talent out there. For me that's Herman. Coaches - before they are *great* coaches- make choices that impact the ability of their team to succeed but many of those decisions are hard to reneg on: Herman kissing everyone is a good example. I think at some point he thought that was the secret sauce to connecting with his players. Unfortunately its didn't play as well in real life as it did in his head lol.Coach O had his whole wild-boys phase that he obviously learned from as well... He's not ripping off his shirt these day. He learned that being the head guy isn't the same as being a coordinator the hard way...
Learning how to toe the line as a coach takes a few gigs to figure out. I think Tom Herman learned some lessons and has the potential to be the guy for 30 years. I'd love him at LSU.

I'd keep trying for Herman until he put a restraining order on me.

1. Jimbo/Herman
2. The rest
3. Coach O
This coaching search is really really easy to handle, but sadly, I can still see Alleva fricking it up.

herman
jimbo
gundy
mullen
gundy and mullen have done very well for programs with automatic disadvantages.
i left fedora off because mullen is like a decade younger than fedora and has done more against stiffer competition.
no need for a number 5. if 1-3 fall through, no way we wouldn't get mullen.
mullen is far more proven coach than O. it's not a contest really.
