Prediction: it is a smokescreen. Wouldn't be surprised if Baker used this to get more money. CBK has kept everything close to the chest, all of a sudden he's leaking his DC leader?

I don't think Baker will be your DC. It doesn't have anything to do with whether or not LSU can poach Mizzou coaches if they want to. The only reason I think he stays is because he should start getting head coaching opportunities after next season if he has one more solid year as a DC. Does he want to move and start over at a place where he might only be there for a year?

wasn't baker part of the group that was evaluated when BK came in and let go? It seems pretty unlikely he would retread Baker for such a crucial position. I think Davis has to be the top candidate for the DL job.
