Leonhard isn’t leaving the Midwest.

Truly, anyone but the current DC. He doesn't seem to be able to coach or recruit. Unfortunately for him, those are basically THE only 2 requirements for the job.

Didn't ask for my realistic thoughts, just my top choice.

Its a talent problem.O left this program

You dont rebuild in 2 years. The fact that he has won as
many games as he has shows you the great coach he is.

Honest question - was our offensive side less depleted than the defensive side? Other than a couple of great WR prospects, seems like everybody else is new. Took less than 2 years to build the best offense in CFB.

OTOH, our defense has plunged over the cliff.

Why is Jim Leonhard a big name in this topic? What has he done to be worthy of a LSU DC job?

Lance Guidry would be a great hire. He’s really turned a young Miami defense into a very good unit.

Most of these guys are not very imaginative.

Hired a DC from UW before and it worked well so the next one should too.

eta-Phil Parker may be a better coach/recruiter. No idea what might, or might not, happen at Iowa after the AD fired Ferentz the Younger but I'd check him out.

Manny Diaz

PSU is 4th and 2nd in the nation in defensive efficiency the past two seasons

People keep wanting Blake Baker; why not get his mentor?

If you think the dude did absolutely no recruiting at lsu then you are mistaken. Is that what he is best at no. The dude is a master of his craft.

Just announce he’s been nominated as a Broyles finalist. Cane fans are freaking out that they may loose him. One year with much less talent has the #19 total defense last I saw. And home state guy. I am a little bias though. He’s been a friend for 50 years and I would love for him to come home.
