Who could those other DC's be that we'd actually have an interest in?

Aubrun's co-defensive coordinators did a helluva job this year. I bet we could get one of them to come here.

NFL teams are interested in Aranda.
ETA: But I heard Charlie Strong is looking for a job... In fact, he would be really good to have on the consulting staff for a year or two, and should be cheap since UT is still paying him. Once Aranda leaves, he can take over. This is the type of guy we need in the shadow staff to make it successful.

Aranda isn't going anywhere, but to indulge you, how about Justin Wilcox? Stealing Wisconsin's guy out from under them worked pretty well last time around. He runs a similar defense and learned at the feet of the master. Seems logical to me.

Strong has a huge buyout that is negated by him finding another job. Why would he give that $ up to come here and be our DC, or worse, an assistant to Aranda?
