A great coach, as evidenced by his potential movement from position coach to HC.

this doesn't mean he's a great coach

This comes at a bad time with all the talent in the 2011 class. Other coaches are creaming their pants at the opportunity to invade LA. We'll see how good of a recruiter les is without his boy at his side.

I was wrong about KW fumbling. I could have sworn he fumbled a few times on limted carries. It may have been Murphy. I not wrong about practice reports saying Ridley and KW fumble in practice a good bit.

I will bet posting privileges for a lifetime he lost the ball before his ankle got rolled. Anybody have the game on dvr?

fricking rantards...

I have a feeling that Keiland is going to have a pretty good NFL career. Les wasted his last 4 years.

You practice like you play most of the time.

So you think average yards per game makes or breaks a running back. So blocking, effort, attitude, intelligence, ball security, etc. don't matter? Would you rather a guy that gets 120 yards per game and picks up his blocks and knows how to line up or a guy who gets 200 yards per game but misses blocks half the time and his grip on the ball may lead to a fumble in a critical situation?

keiland williams would not have rushed for -1.3 yards per carry against AU

blocking: he was our 3rd down back and was as good at hester in pass protection
effort: the frick?
attitude: always was positive even though he was fricked for 3 of his 4 years
intelligence: the frick?
ball security: hester and scott fumbled more than keiland did in games

both have to be taken into consideration but I personally think practice matters more. That doesn't matter.

we will never know, but that doesn't matter.

Again, none of this matters. I wasn't using traits that players on the team have, I was speaking generally. You seem to care more about stats and flashiness and don't care about the less noticeable things that also play a massive role in a player's ability.

I agree with you that KW should have gotten more carries. I agree with you that he was probably the best rb at points in his career even though that is subjective. Maybe you should re-read the thread. We were talking about porter's ability to coach running backs, especially the little things like blitz pick up. We came to a consensus that he was a great recruiter but an average at best coach. He possibly prevented the growth of the rbs and KW could have possibly been a beast with better coaching. KW had all the potential in the world but the little things probably kept him off the field (like it or not it is Mile's MO).

keiland did the little things, so your argument against him is hollow
