JEEBUS!!

Miles is keeping this very close to the vest. So, because Ponamsky says it may be underwhelming, then all the Chicken Littles start screaming that the sky is falling...AGAIN!!

No one really knows what is going on. So, why not wait until an announcement to start moaning and groaning?

Its silliness to get worked up over some recruiting / reporter type has to say. THEY HAVE NO REAL SCOOP HERE! Just guessing and pulling together message board garbage.

What do you know about Miles' play calling?

If Miles can call plays, then he should be fire himself for allowing Crowton to run the offense into the ground for the last 3 years.

After the malveto debacle, I'd be shocked if he promotes from within!

This is pretty fricking frustrating ! A mediocre hire at OC is gonna be hard to swallow.

it will be BG as OC then QB coach from outside

I said this a few times. This is being the scenario mentioned by everyone on 104.5 not just Moscona. Someone pointed out that Moscona is wrong alot. And that may be true... lots of talking heads are wrong a lot... but it's a coincidence that everyone he interviews is leaning this way, including Ponamsky (sp?), Gilbeau, Rush... and whoever the hell he has on every day.

I think it makes a lot of sense. It's not the "wow" hire... but thats NOT what we need now.

I have no doubts the 4 interviews set up were ALL for the QB coach position. Everybody under the sun thinks Gonzo has a great football mind. He just needs a chance.

He may get his chance with a little "handholding" from Miles.

ETA: If this happens I for one WON'T be underwhelmed. What little I know of all the candidates, this sounds as good a scenario as any.

OK, let me rephrase...

This sounds as good as any REALISTIC scenario.

if this offense fails, I'll blame it on Jimbo then Perriloux then Crowton then this new guy.

You mean the caliber of Stud? I hope not--but hey, didn't many of the TD posters predict Miles would retain Crowton--I said several times wait until after the Cotton Bowl. So let's not be premature again--we can always hope for a good OC hire.

He interviewed Fuente. I'm hoping that's who he gets. No one knows for sure what that crazy dude is thinking

I don't think undefeated TCUs OC would interview for QB coach only.

it's obvious by whom les has had interview. he's hiring a qb coach and not a o.c.

it seems he's promoting within.
interviewing a bunch of OC's for a vacant OC spot doesnt mean he's going to promote from within. You think they'll leave calling plays to just be a QB coach here?

How bad does it suck that our best option appears to be Fuente/Gonzales co-OC's w/Fuente coaching qb's?

If Stud is OC I will stand outside of Miles' house and harass him every morning.

Compared to either Stud or Ensminger being promoted I don't either.
