Hope this is true. One less Aranda rumor to worry about at the end of this crucial recruiting cycle.

Been a lot of talk about the possibility of it on here, but thanks for posting that it's almost done. Good for him. I would love to see him rule the west.

Think he should hold off for a better job? I just think there is no guarantee for something great next year -- maybe A&M or Tenn, I guess. He'd be too quirky for ND if that opens. Plus, if he posts a 7-5 this year, will his stock be that high? I think he could get Minnesota to Wisconsin levels of winning and consistency.

Maybe Les could get the Western Michigan job?
They probably have someone better in mind.

I read with his divorce that distance could be a sticking point and Minny is in a better place than Purdue. He also recruited 6 hours from Kalamazoo. He's recruited Wisconsin and Illinois heavy, so it's familiar.
The reality is that Minny has a decent roster and is in a shitty division right now. That division goes through Wisconsin and he was within a score of them with Western Michigan.

He can leave for any job he wants. Just has to pay the buyout.

I'm sure the ex wants her alimony.

All of this is logical but these things aren't always logical.
Besides, I really don't think it's a bad fit. Your division is Northwestern, Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, and Wisconsin. You've got three decent teams that aren't world beaters.

I think Minnesota has the potential to be a lot better than they already are

Good for MN. Bad for Fleck. If he wants to advance his career, a dumpster fire is not the place to start.
Les, on the other, is at the statesman stage of his career. He can come to recruit, mentor, and sooth for 3-5 years, and then leave leave a good thing for someone like Fleck. Les can teach the AD and President a thing or two.
Bet we don't hear from Fleck ever again if he takes it.

I know a prominent member of Fleck's staff, I'm fishing now to see if it's true

4 million a year for PJ Fleck
That's some funny shite
Yes his team just went 12-0 in the regular season versus a conference that was 0-6 in bowl games
Fleck is nothing special and Minnesota administration must be retarded as the players are saying if they are going to pay him that
