I wouldn't doubt that Franklin is #1 choice based on several factors....not the least of which he is an incredibly legit candidate that just happens to be a minority.

I just don't understand the thought process behind thinking Jimbo is an option, for several reasons. If he didn't go in 2016 when he had a program on the downswing and was starting to be unwelcome at FSU, why the frick would he now when he makes insane money, is loved by the fans, has every resource LSU has and much more, and is close enough to already recruit the same base as LSU?

A&M also offered him a massive buyout that LSU would never be able to match, and that buyout is EXTREMELY favorable to Jimbo as it's only applicable if he's fired.

Not only does it really not make sense for him to jump, it doesn't make sense for any LSU fan to want him. He won an NC in 2013 with a generational QB, then proceeded to slowly tank that FSU program. Sound familiar?

You are literally talking about wanting to hire FSU's former Orgeron, it makes no sense from any angle. This is also the same HC that has basically replicated Sumlin's performance at A&M and just lost to Arkansas and Miss State with enough talent on the roster to beat Bama the next week.

The list of reasons that Jimbo isn't happening and why y'all shouldn't WANT to happen is infinitely longer than why it could or should happen. I don't know why he's consistently the "top candidate"
