Personal Thoughts on Raymond

Leveraged LSU every year for raises and has had 5 star guys good one year and then flop. Was one of the coaches behind the team march and Ryan Clark talking to players...etc. Let him go...we will beat Florida and still be DBU

This place is ridiculous. You can continue to try to convince yourself a million different ways... but losing Raymond to Florida will be a problem.

Corey Raymond is a good coach and a good recruiter. IMO his players have underperformed mostly by not being on the field. Probably not under his control. From the outside looking the back end of the defense has been good but could be better. There have been too many completely blown coverages in the last two years. Good technique, poor communication.

Yep, you are right. Raymond was really bending LSU over a barrel.
Let me ask you this: If you were at a job and a guy left the company to go out on his own and failed miserably then came back but got a raise to almost double your salary, would you be okay with it? Then, the company hires another guy who has never had the success you have but he makes more than 50% more than you. You would be okay with that? This decision simply came down to appreciation and compensation. I think most everyone here would have made a similar decision. I know I probably would have. I don't agree with the way LSU handled it but we have to have faith in Kelly's plan.
